The Beverly Hills Fencers’ Club is looking for a dynamic Fencing Coach who is able to teach all three weapons from beginners to high level competitors. Preferably a certified Master who is fluent in English and Spanish.

News from the All State Championship in San Francisco
April 30th, 2005

Three fencers from the BH Fencing Club...Alex Gidaya, Mitch Juson and Tim Meleck...
who also fence for their school as the Loyola High School Fencing Team, fenced in
the All State Championship on April 30th held in San Francisco. Their combined
scores won them the All State Scholastic League Championship Award.

Alex Gidaya 1st and won the Individual All State Champion.
Mitch Juson 2nd
Tim Meleck 6th

News from the 2005 Youth/Junior PCC’s
April 8th – April 10th, 2005

Congratulations to all our fencers that competed at this year’s Junior PCC’s! We made quite a showing with over 30 fencers participating.

Highlights:

Orianna Isaacson came in 2nd place in the Women’s Epee event and brought home the silver medal. Way to go, Ori!

Maya Bradley took 3rd place in the Y10 Women’s Epee event and adds a bronze medal to her collection!

Alex Gidaya took 3rd place in the Cadet Men’s foil event with Mitch Juson coming in 10th place and Nick Kazamiroff in 12th place!

Mitch Juson came in 14th in the Men’s Foil Event and Tim Meleck was right behind him in 16th place!

In the Y10 Men’s Epee event:

April 2nd & April 3rd, 2005

Kudos to the BHFC U19 Men’s and Women’s Epee Teams and the U19 Men’s Foil Team for qualifying for the Summer Nationals!

The U19 Men’s Foil Team – Alex Gidaya, Match Juson, Nick Kazimiroff, and Roby Sobieski - won first place and brought home the gold medal!

Congratulations again to Alex Gidaya for winning the Gold Medal in Men’s Div II Individual Foil.

Congratulations to Charlie Lucas for qualifying for the Div II & Div III Men’s Individual Epee.

Also congratulations Dawn Cobb for winning the Silver Medal in the Women’s Individual Foil and also for qualifying for the Women’s Individual Foil and Epee!

March 11th – March 14th, 2005

The BHFC had some terrific results in Denver! Among the competitors: Dylan Case, Alexander Tangkilisan, Charlie Lucas, Alexander Gidaya, Mitch Juson, Tim Meleck, and Jackie Balestra.

Alex Gidaya made the finals in Division II Men’s Foil and came in 6th place and Dylan Case rocked the house by taking 3rd place in both Division II & Division III Men’s Epee, earning his ‘B’ rating! For a complete list of results, visit the USFA website at www.usfencing.org.
